breast cosmetic surgeryBreast cosmetic surgery is something very close to many women’s hearts! It is a life changing experience in many ways, as the emotional aspects are vitally important. There are four main types of breast cosmetic surgery: breast enlargement; breast uplift; breast reduction; and inverted nipple correction. The breast cosmetic surgery that concentrates on enlargement is usually carried out to make the breasts larger, firmer and fuller. Breast implants are available in a variety of shapes, types and sizes and are usually made of an outer layer of silicone, filled with either silicone gel or salt water (saline). Cuts under the breast, around your nipples or near your armpits are made, then the implants are inserted through the cuts, increasing the size and altering the shape of the breasts. This breast cosmetic surgery procedure is usually carried out to raise an individuals self-confidence. The uplift breast cosmetic surgery is usually as a result of sagging or drooping as women get older. Weight loss, pregnancy and breastfeeding can also be contributory factors. A breast uplift, known as a mastopexy, is an operation to raise and re-shape your breasts. During the breast lift operation, the surgeon removes excess skin from around the areola and sometimes from under the breasts. This creates a tighter cone of breast tissue and the nipple is moved to a higher position to give a more youthful and firm appearance. Breast cosmetic surgery, that involves reduction is often required by women who feel that their breasts are out of proportion with the rest of their body. During a breast reduction operation the surgeon makes cuts around the breasts to remove excess fat and skin. The remaining breast tissue is then re-shaped and stitched to make the breasts smaller. Most women have naturally protruding nipples, but for some one or both nipples are inverted. Breast cosmetic surgery to correct these inverted nipples is a straight forward procedure that requires the surgeon to cut around the nipple so that it is free from the surrounding tissue and re-stitch it so that it then protrudes. Inverted nipples usually develop during puberty and are caused by short milk ducts. If the nipple has suddenly become inverted, prompt advice from a GP should be sought, as it may be an indication of an underlying condition that may require treatment. | Beverly hills plastic surgery
